MEET THE TEAM
Hello, my name is Jeffrey Scott Viglielmo and I am a life long resident of Ulster county. I did go away for my higher education but have have been lucky to be able to return to the area that I love. I graduated from Onteora High School in 1977, received my BS from St. Lawrence University in 1981 with a Biology and Chemistry major. Georgetown University Dental School in Washington, DC provided me with my DDS degree and there I also met my wife, Maureen. We still live in Woodstock where we are raising our 2 children, Kaitlana, age 12 and Kealey, age 14. I have volunteered my dental expertise to the Ulster County Community Action Committee by sitting on the advisory board for the county's Headstart program. I have often provided their children with dental screenings over these past 20 years and in recent years, adopted a child from this program to provide their dental needs that they are unable to receive elsewhere at our cost.
In 2001 I joined the International Academy Of Oral Medicine and Toxicology and was accedited in 2006 for showing the interest and skills to treat my patients in a biologic sense- understanding dental materials biocompatibility, periodontal disease process and using the safest protocols for removal of mercury. This is a toxin which makes up over 50% of the "silver" fillings that many of us had or still have.
At home I have given my time to the Hunter Mountain Race Foundation which gets me outdoors running alpine ski races as timer, official and course worker. It has been a great experience meeting the world's best American racers at our NORAM events, even Bode Miller was a participant in 2002 on our Catskill Mountain hill. During the 2008-9 season I coached the J III Alpine Competition Team where I was able to ski with my son and enjoy the sport with him, I am again at Hunter this winter, 2009-10. I have also become an AYSO soccer coach and referee to be a guiding force in my son's summer athletic development. I am now the Woodstock Soccer U15 head coach and have been engaged with 25 plus children during the Spring and Fall seasons. I even took on the Onteora Boy's Modified coaching duties the fall of 2008. It has been a lot of fun to see them as they enjoy their outdoor athletic training and competitions. Personally, I still ski race and play soccer myself as well as tennis, windsurfing, bicycling and hiking.

Hi, I’m Karina D. Fischer, RDH I have lived in Ulster County my entire life. I am a 1984 Kingston High School graduate. In my junior and senior years, I was a student in the Dental Assisting program at BOCES. After graduation, I went to work in a local dental office where I could further my skills as a dental assistant and care for patient’s oral health.
I found that I loved the field of dentistry so much, I decided to become a dental hygienist. I wanted to teach my patients to care for their own oral health. After graduating in 1990 from Hudson Valley Community College and earning an Associate’s Degree in dental hygiene, I came back to this area to live and work. I have been practicing as a registered dental hygienist since then. I love volunteering my time with the Headstart program screening children, and offering time to speak to the parents at the facility about oral hygiene for their children. I also can be found in the classroom at local schools, speaking to the students about their dental health. I love working with children as well as adults. I feel that I have a light and gentle touch and this, combined with tailoring their home care to best fit their lifestyle, have benefitted my patients.
I live in Kingston with my wonderful husband, Arnie, my daughter, Sabrina, 17 and son, Christian, 14. I enjoy many different activities with my children such as working on the PTA, KHS band booster club, chaperoning with the KHS Band, and Choir and KHS cheerleading team. When I’m not busy with these activities I enjoy reading for pleasure as well as reading work related articles and self help books. I enjoy vacationing with my family and traveling to different areas of the United States. Camping at the beach with my entire family is something I look forward to every summer.
My name is Jessica Reynolds, RDH and I have been in the dental field for over 5 years now. I grew up in this area and still live in Dutchess County where I am raising my 8 year old daughter Hailey. My first passion was dental assisting which I did for about a year before becoming a dental hygiene assistant at Drs. Viglielmo’s office. I loved being a hygiene assistant so much that I was inspired to become a dental hygienist. In May 2009 I fulfilled this dream and became a Registered Dental Hygienist with certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. I have worked at the Center for the Disabled in Albany, NY which is a facility that provides dental treatment to those that are mentally and physically impaired. This experience was touching and I loved every second of it! I have also participated with Headstart to provide dental screenings and care for children that are less fortunate than most. I have also worked with the Headstart teachers, staff, and nurses to educate them on how to screen the children and teach them and their parents optimal self care during school and at home. I have gone to many school classrooms where the children aged between 5-8 to educate them on proper dental health and nutrition.
I am looking forward to helping all of my patients achieve and sustain optimal oral heath through education and treatment.
