Gum Disease Laser Therapy

Periodontal disease affects millions of adults throughout the United States. However, many patients do not seek treatment for gum disease out of fear. Procedures to treat gum disease in the past are considered, at the least, uncomfortable. Advances in dentistry have introduced a new laser therapy, recently approved by the FDA to treat gum disease. Available to our patients, laser periodontal therapy can help you attain healthy teeth and gums.

This revolutionary laser therapy tool allows Dr. Robin Faske Baird and Dr. Brian Baird to preserve your healthy gum tissue. The laser cleans out infections lodged between teeth and gums with minimal pain. Laser periodontal therapy provides long-lasting results in the fight against gum disease. The procedure offers our patients less discomfort than the other gum disease treatments available today.

Sedation Dentistry

The dreaded sound of the drill can fade to a distant memory with sedation dentistry. Sedation dentistry allows patients to remain largely unaware of the treatment they are receiving. It allows Dr. Robin Faske Baird to perform multiple dental procedures in just one appointment. This means less time for you in the dentist’s chair. Sedation dentistry at Brenham Dental Center is an excellent option for patients who suffer severe anxiety and fear of the dentist.

Sedation dentistry involves patients taking an oral sedative. The medication causes patients to relax and slip into a sleep-like state. When treatment is complete and the sedative wears off, you will have no unpleasant memories of your appointment. To schedule a consultation for treatment with sedation dentistry, Contact Brenham Dental Center today.

Intraoral Camera

The intraoral camera is the most precise method of diagnosing problems in the mouth. The camera captures images of your mouth and transfers them to the computer screen where they can be evaluated. The intraoral camera allows our dentists to accurately determine what, if any, course of treatment is necessary to maintain oral health, and allows the patient to view the teeth as the Dentist sees them. This allows you, the patient, to be involved in the treatment choices.

 CEREC® 3-D

The CEREC® 3-D is a revolutionary technology that allows cosmetic and restoration work to be completed with the help of a computerized system for the most precise dental work possible. Digital impressions of your teeth are recorded with the CEREC® 3-D camera. The image is then used to create customized restorations that are cut and colored by the CEREC® 3-D to blend perfectly with your natural teeth. At Brenham Dental Center, porcelain veneers, crowns, bridges, inlays, and onlays, can be completed in just one appointment with use of the CEREC® 3-D.

Sealants

Sealants are thin plastic coatings painted over the chewing surfaces of the back teeth to prevent germs and food from causing decay. They are applied as a liquid that quickly hardens to form a shield that protects the tooth. Children should get sealants on permanent molars as soon as the teeth come in. Other patients can get sealants if there is no decay or fillings present in the molars.
